The Alva Forest Carbon Steel Cookware Set 4 Piece is a 4-piece set of carbon steel frying pans and a wok, made from nitrided carbon steel with a shaped wooden handle. The set covers the skillet sizes most kitchens reach for first. It works on gas, electric, ceramic, halogen and induction cooktops. Carbon steel takes high heat and holds it, so it sears rather than steams. Built for stovetop and high-heat cooking rather than the oven, as the handle is wooden. It is uncoated, so there is nothing with intentionally added PFAS, PTFE or PFOA. Preheat over medium heat until a drop of water dances on the surface, then add oil and let it shimmer before the food goes in. Covered by an Alva 10-year limited warranty.
