This design comes from Marsden Hartley's Provincetown - an abstract sailboat study from his time in Cape Cod. When I was very young, my mother's foster parents lived there, and some of my earliest, warmest memories are from the Cape. The colors are muted and versatile, with just enough depth to catch the eye. Printed on silk twill in Como, with hand-rolled edges. A quiet nod to American art - and a place that's always stayed with me.
100% silk twill: A soft, silky fabric traditionally used in men's tailoring. Characterized by a diagonal weave which makes it very durable. We use 14 momme silk, a heavier weight silk than many because it is supple enough to hold its shape no matter how you fold it. Large size: Approx. 17.5" x 17.5". This is the correct size to allow for many folding styles and it will not slide down into your pocket. Dry clean only.
